This summer our challenge is – people! The challenge is simple: create paintings that feature people in some way. You could paint a portrait, a figure study, figures in a landscape, etc. – the choice is yours.By painting people in watercolor, you’ll have the opportunity to experiment with different techniques and approaches, honing your skills as you go. Choose a variety of subjects, from friends and family members to strangers on the street. Look for interesting poses, expressions, and lighting conditions to capture in your paintings.Don’t be afraid to take risks and try new things. Play around with different brushes, papers, and techniques to find what works best for you.At our October meeting, bring in your painting to share. There are no ribbons, no awards, no pressure – just our group showing “what we did last summer.”So what are you waiting for? Grab your paints, your brushes, and your paper, and let’s get started on this summer challenge!
